Cecilia Bartoli ~ Opera Proibita (Handel · Scarlatti · Caldara) / Les Musiciens du Louvre · Minkowski

It has been forever since I updated, but hey my computer wouldn't let me get on at home! By-the-way, Christmas was wonderful! I had a splendid time enjoying time with my family and all their quirks!

So, friends are wonderful! I really must say that you learn so much about people when you live so close with them! In some ways I hate how soap-operaish it gets sometimes, but other times you have to admit it keeps life interesting.

Oh, I just had my first voice lesson for this semester, and it was wonderful! I love Dr. Hodges! I get to have so much fun music; tons of harder art songs and arias in other languages! Speaking of music, I'm listening to Cecilia Bartoli's new CD, and I love the third song by Handel! If Cecilia was anything, other than a human, she would be a machine gun firing out trills! Ok, so maybe that was overdoing it, but hey that's what it makes me think of!

Hurrah only one more final! Soon I will be on a beach enjoying the fact I don’t have any homework or tests! This semester although hard has gone by so, so fast!

Tonight there is the most amazing moon-ring out, and the smell of snow is in the air (yes snow does have a scent; it’s kind of fresh and sweet, like drinking sweet, cold water). Tonight is the kind of night you just want to go out and dance in snow and starlight, even if the only partner you have is the air in your hands! I love snow… I love going home, but there is just something so un-festive about palm trees in December! Oh well…

Right now I’m enjoying listening to Louis Armstrong’s “A kiss to build a dream on”, great song! It’s just a nice song for mellowing out to! Well, going to go enjoy the night while it lasts! God bless to all!
